Description

Anise Licorice handmade, artisan soap is made with natural Anise Essential oil. Anise has the same scent as natural black licorice. Each bar has unique black and white swirls. The black color is from natural activated charcoal which treats your skin with kindness and is beneficial for oily skin. My handcrafted soaps are made with the cold process method with no heating or cooking. This process helps preserve the true scent of the anise essential oil with no fading. Each batch has been cured for over 8 weeks. This ensures that the bar gets harder and the water that was used during the soapmaking process has evaporated. Curing the anise soap make it last longer in your bath or shower.

Soap makes its own glycerin so it’s best to use a soap dish that drains and let the soap dry between uses. Please don’t let the soap sit in water puddles as this could soften the soap. Each Anise soap comes in a box with a complete ingredient label. If you know any fishermen, this soap would make a wonderful gift. Anise soap is unique as each swirl is one of a kind. Please allow for natural variations in color. Anise has a strong scent that has been used in Aromatherapy. The essential oil is a light yellow that is steam distilled from the seeds. It has the typical licorice aroma. The scent that you smell is from one of its natural constituents called anethole. I have a fisherman friend that used a small piece of anise soap on his lure and he caught fish with it. So I guess it works! It has been used for hunting and fishing to remove human scent.
